The Kent Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England is a registered charity (number 1092012), and is also a company limited by guarantee, registered in England (number 4335730). We are a separate charity from the national organisation. The management and administration of CPRE Kent is the responsibility of the Trustees who sit on our Executive Committee.
In addition to the Executive Committee, there are district groups in each of the administrative areas of Kent and specialist groups that cover topics such as the environment, housing, transport and historic buildings.
The Executive Committee (EC) meets at least six times a year. Members are elected via the district and specialist groups and from the CPRE Kent membership. Co-options to the EC are also possible.
EC members have five-year terms of office, and are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The day to day running of the organisation is handled by a staff of six based at Evegate, near Ashford.
We are a membership organisation and most of our income comes from members' subscriptions, donations and legacies.
Membership is open to all.
