CPRE Kent Spring into 2009

On Saturday 4 April 2009, CPRE Kent’s Tonbridge and Malling District Committee will be holding it’s annual social event at Pym Hall, Hadlow College in Tonbridge.

The event is open to anyone who would like to come along and meet members of the Committee who will be giving talks on their recent achievements and the work they are doing to continue to protect Kent’s countryside.

Following the talks, there will be an opportunity to talk with Committee members and CPRE Kent staff over a buffet lunch provided by the Broadview Tearoom at Hadlow College.

The day will be concluded with a spring guided tour of the College’s Broadview Gardens. The gardens have been firmly established as a key part of Hadlow College for many years. They are divided up into smaller themed gardens, providing inspiration for amateurs and professionals alike.

The gardens range from the traditional ‘Italian Garden’ to the ‘Sensory Garden’ and the wild ‘Sandell Lake Water Garden’. This year’s newest addition to the gardens is a modern ‘Medicinal Garden’, using plants which are renowned for their healing properties.

The cost for this event is only £14 per person, including the buffet lunch. The day will begin at 10.30am and finish at 3pm. For more information and to book tickets, please contact Susan Bowen at CPRE Kent on 01303 813180.
