Fri 5th June 2026: CPRE Kent Dark Skies online lunchtime session.
As part of both Volunteers’ Week and The Big Help Out, CPRE Kent will be hosting an online lunchtime session on Friday 5 June at 12pm, where you can find out more about the importance of Dark Skies, what CPRE Kent will be doing, and how volunteers can get involved. Register here
Tue 9th June 2026: Bat and ‘Reveal’ Walk, CPRE Kent and Plantlife at Ranscombe Farm Reserve, Cuxton.
Join us for an evening adventure under the stars as we launch the new Medway Dark Skies project! Explore the mysterious world of bats using bat detectors, then, don’t miss the special ‘Reveal’ segment of the evening where biofluorescent secrets will be revealed.
Perfect for nature lovers and night owls alike – grab your friends and get ready for a memorable evening.
This event is part of Plantlife’s 20th anniversary celebration week at Ranscombe Farm Nature Reserve which is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund through the Ranscombe Connect: Community Participation for Wild Plants and Fungi project. CPRE Kent’s Medway Dark Skies project is separately externally funded.

Sunday 2nd August 2026 – Marvellous Moths Morning, CPRE Kent, Medway Council and Kent Moth Group at Riverside Country Park
Starting at 09:30am, join Kent Moth Group and CPRE Kent for a cosy morning where we’ll unveil the fascinating world of moths! Whether you’re a nature newbie or a seasoned enthusiast, come and see what flew into our trap overnight, before they are released. Then….make your own moth trap.

Centenary 2026 Events:
Sunday 20th September – Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Snodland, ME20 6JA – 10am – 2pm
Join us as we celebrate the countryside next door…and CPRE’s centenary. Lots of activities for all the family including; outdoor cooking, forest school skills, face painting, guided hedgerow walks and lots of local countryside and wildlife organisations who are coming along to help us celebrate and enjoy our countryside and raise awareness of the issues and threats facing the countryside today.
Drop by between 10am and 1pm (event finishes at 2pm). Free to attend (parking charges apply at the park).
