Wildlife-rich site under threat from National Grid scheme for converter station and pylons

The wonderful wildlife haven of Minster Marshes in east Kent is threatened by National Grid plans for a converter station and associated pylons as part of its so-called Sea Link scheme.

To learn more about this destructive proposal, click here, but in the meantime campaigners against it – including CPRE Kent – have set up a fighting fund through CrowdJustice to pay for expert advice should the scheme be given approval.

  • If you would like to contribute to the fund, please click here
  • You can also discover more about the campaign by going to Facebook and searching ‘Save Minster Marshes’
Some of the threatened hedgerows in the area are thought to be some 60 years old
