Love Your Countryside Day is a delight from start to finish

Well, what a time we had at Leybourne Lakes Country Park for our Love Your Countryside Day!

So many people came up to meet us and fellow stallholders on a day when the sun shone bright and the lakes glistened beautifully as summer continued its glide towards autumn.
Throughout its centenary year, CPRE has been highlighting what makes the countryside special, the challenges it faces and the possibilities ahead – and one of the features the charity put together was Love Your Countryside Month, a nationwide celebration of everyday acts of care, connection and collective action.
And CPRE Kent flew the countryside flag high and proud! Staff, supporters and visitors alike enjoyed the site’s brilliant range of wildlife, enjoyed a Hedgerow Heroes walk and even met Betty and Bob the Badgers! It had been quite the day…
