Terrific Trees – what a time we had on Countryside Day

The sun shone and the temperatures soared (almost too much!) for our Truly Terrific Trees event held on Sunday (September 7) at Shorne Woods Country Park near Gravesend.

An enthusiastic group joined CPRE Kent for a guided walk around ancient woodlands that make up part of the new North Kent Woods and Downs National Nature Reserve, with the focus very much on the wonderful trees found on the site.

ITV Meridian came along to film the occasion and showed a piece on their evening news bulletin.

Terrific Trees was part of CPRE’s national Countryside Day, which saw a range of events held across the country in celebration of our rural heritage.
