We’re making waves with Hedgerow Heroes

The impressive effort from our Kentish Hedgerow Heroes is in full swing… and being shared far and wide by the media.

We’re helping national CPRE work towards the target of increasing hedgerow cover in England by 40 per cent before 2050. Working with the Countryside Management Partnership (CMP) teams, we’ve assigned more than three and half miles of hedgerow to plant and/or restore.
And in the last few days we’ve been up on the Birling Estate with volunteers including our friends from the Medway Valley Countryside Partnership. Also present were a news team from BBC South East to tell the story of Hedgerow Heroes and interview, among others, CPRE Kent director Andrea Griffiths.
