Second-runway application goes to next stage

The Planning Inspectorate has accepted for examination an application to build a second runway at Gatwick airport.

With today’s (Thursday, August 3) confirmation that the proposal will go ahead for examination, the campaigning group GAGNE (Communities Against Gatwick Noise Expansion) is preparing to fight against it.
