The Weald takes centre stage in Daily Telegraph article on housing
Newspaper takes an in-depth look at a subject relevant to us all
You might be aware of the saga surrounding the proposed development of 165 homes in the High Weald AONB at Turnden, near Cranbrook.
It is referred to in the attached Daily Telegraph article, headlined ‘The wrong houses, built in the wrong places: what can solve the British housing crisis?’ and which focuses largely on The Weald, although of course the subject is salient across much of the country.
CPRE Kent, which has been involved in the protracted process of Turnden throughout, is quoted in the article, which tackles the housing issue in a balanced and wide-ranging manner.
It’s a lengthy piece, so perhaps make yourself a cup of tea and settle down to an examination of a matter that is of relevance to us all.
